Joseph's Story

• Potiphar's wife falsely claimed that Joseph attempted to assault her.
• Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers.
• Pharaoh was happy to hear that Joseph's brothers had come to Egypt.
• Joseph and Benjamin were the sons of Jacob and Rachel.
• Manasseh and Ephraim were the sons of Joseph by Asenath, daughter of Potiophera, priest of On.

Jacob's Life in Egypt

• Pharaoh allocated the region of Goshen for Jacob and his sons to dwell in.
• The land of the priests was not bought by Joseph for Pharaoh during the famine.
• Jacob lived in Egypt for 17 years before he died.
• Joseph made Jacob swear to ensure his burial in the land of Canaan rather than in Egypt.

Jacob's Death

• Joseph was stronger than his brethren and had "the arms of his hands made strong".
• When Joseph saw his father had passed away, he reacted with grief and sorrow.

Joseph's Brothers

• The midianite merchants/Ishmaelites were the buyers of Joseph from the Ishmaelites.
• Dan was the son of Jacob who was blessed to be "a serpent by the way".

Joseph's Dreams

• The Pharaoh's dream indicated seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine in Egypt.
• In the cupbearer's dream, he saw a vine with three branches in front of him.

Pharaoh's Reaction

• Pharaoh said the cows in his dream were "scrawny and very ugly and lean".
• The chief cupbearer told Pharaoh of Joseph and his ability to interpret dreams.
• Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah.

Noah's Story
