    Courtesy Runner Rule

    • The offensive team can use a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher of record from the previous inning.
    • The courtesy runner must be a player not presently in the line-up.

    Stopping Play

    • Play can be stopped by the defensive team stopping the lead runner or by the pitcher being in the confines of the infield and holding the ball above their head.
    • If play is not stopped, any runners may advance at their own risk.

    Caught Fly Ball

    • When a fly ball is caught, time will be called when base runners return safely to their base of origin and are not attempting to advance.
    • Note: Clarification of caught fly ball does not affect the play on a runner that has legally tagged up and started for the next base.
