- Erich Zöllner's "History of Austria: From the Beginnings to the Present Day" (Vienna, 1961) and Ernst and Thomas Winkelbauer's "History of Austria, Culture – Society – Politics" are recommended readings.
What is Austria?
- Republic of Austria: A state initially unwanted that has changed over the last 100 years
