Equalities

There are laws in Australia that ensure equal treatment and prohibit discrimination based on gender, race, disability, or age.

Equality of opportunity and a 'fair go' are valued in Australian society, where achievements are based on talents, work, and effort, rather than wealth or background.

Responsibilities and Privileges of Australian Citizenship

As an Australian citizen, you must obey the laws of Australia, vote in federal and state or territory elections, defend Australia if needed, and serve on a jury if called to do so.
