- Refers to analog tape cassettes, digital CDs and computer files
- Audio information can be stored in many digital formats
Types & Categories of Audio Information
- Radio broadcast: Live or recorded audio sent via radio waves to a wide audience
- Music: Vocal and/or instrumental sounds combined in a way to produce beauty, harmony and emotion
- Music: Composed and performed for a variety of purposes including aesthetic pleasure, religious or ceremonial purposes, and entertainment
- Sound recording: Recording of an interview, meeting or any sound
- Sound clips/effects: Any sound other than speech or music, artificially reproduced to create an effect such as the sound of a storm or a creaking door

Storing Audio Media
