- Personal procedures include showering thoroughly, changing into a clean uniform, and washing contaminated uniforms in fire station washers only.
- Soap used for decontamination should not contain moisturizers.
- Gloves should be replaced with clean spares and all hoods and gloves should be washed immediately.
- PPE should not be staged in direct line or near the exhaust of apparatus.
- Members should not wash contaminated uniforms at home or outside of the fire station.
