One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero webcomic created by ONE in 2009.
The story is set on a supercontinent version of Earth with four moons, where powerful monsters and supervillains wreak havoc.
The Hero Association is created to employ superheroes to fight evil, and Saitama is an unassociated hero from City Z who becomes a reluctant mentor to Genos, a cyborg seeking revenge.
Monsters begin appearing faster, and a former apprentice of the hero Bang, Garo, begins terrorizing heroes as the "Hero Hunter."
The Monster Association, an organization of monsters under City Z, attacks various cities, recruits fighters, and kidnaps a Hero Association executive's son.
The Hero Association assaults the Monster Association HQ, causing a battle that destroys City Z and kills almost every monster.
Saitama meets the highest-ranked hero Blast, who warns him of a threat known as "God."
Garo receives some of "God's" power, causing him to emit radiation that kills all the heroes, including Genos.
Saitama time travels to subdue Garo before he killed the heroes, destroying his monster mutation and cosmic power.
With the Monster Association destroyed, Saitama gets promoted to A-Class for defeating Garo, and several heroes and officials decide to retire or defect to the Neo Heroes, a rival group appearing to be more effective in handling the growing monster threats.
