Colonialism

Imperialism

Types of Colonialism

• Classic Colonialism - One nation controls another for resources and territory.

• Settler Colonialism - Colonizers move into and settle the colonized areas, replacing the indigenous population.

• Neocolonialism - Continued indirect control and influence over a nation, even when formally independent.

• Domestic Colonialism - A group within a nation controlling or suppressing other groups.
