AR 670-1 - Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms
- Army Regulation 670-1 governs the wear and appearance of military uniforms.
- The flag on the right shoulder of the Utility Uniform creates the effect of the flag flying forward.
- Commercially designed protective headgear is only authorized for wear during motorcycle or bicycle operations.
- Identification Tags must be worn at all times, both CONUS and OCONUS, except when safety is a concern, such as during physical training.
- "ECWCS" stands for Extended Cold Weather Clothing System.
- Shoulder boards are worn from the rank of Corporal through SGM and by Officers.
- The beret is worn with the headband straight across the forehead, positioned 1 inch above the eyebrows, with the flash over the left eye.
