- The Pyramids of Giza are one of Egypt's biggest mysteries and relics of the Old Kingdom era, built approximately 4,500 years ago.
- The Pyramids were constructed as a means for Pharaohs to display their power, with the belief that they were semi-divine beings who ruled on Earth and transitioned into an afterlife amongst the gods.
The Three Pyramids
- The pyramids were constructed from around 2550 to 2490 B.C. during the reign of Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
- The pyramid of Khufu is the largest among the three, standing over 480 feet high and holding the record for the world's largest stone structure.
