    Study Notes

    Aorta

    • Le arteria principal que transporta sangue desde le corde a le resto del corpore.

    Brachiocephalic Artery

    • Originates from the aorta and bifurcates into the right common carotid and right subclavian arteries.

    Left Common Carotid

    • Supplies blood to the left side of the head and neck, arising directly from the aorta.

    Left Subclavian

    • Provides blood to the left arm, originating from the aorta.

    Right Common Carotid Artery

    • Supplies blood to the right side of the head and neck, branches from the brachiocephalic artery.

    Right Subclavian Artery

    • Delivers blood to the right arm, also branching from the brachiocephalic artery.

    Coronary Artery

    • Two main arteries (right and left) that supply blood to the heart muscle.

    Anterior Interventricular Artery

    • Supplies blood to the front part of the interventricular septum and both ventricles, a branch of the left coronary artery.

    Circumflex Artery

    • Circles around the heart, supplying blood to the left atrium and parts of the left ventricle.

    Right Internal Carotid Artery

    • Supplies blood to the brain, face, and neck; branches from the right common carotid artery.

    Right External Carotid Artery

    • Supplies blood to the face and neck, also originating from the right common carotid artery.

    Carotid Sinus

    • A dilation at the base of the internal carotid artery that contains baroreceptors for blood pressure regulation.

    Right Axillary Artery

    • Supplies blood to the shoulder region; a continuation of the subclavian artery after it passes the first rib.

    Right Brachial Artery

    • Main artery of the arm, a continuation of the axillary artery.

    Right Radial Artery

    • Supplies blood to the lateral aspect of the forearm and wrist, a branch of the brachial artery.

    Right Ulnar Artery

    • Supplies blood to the medial aspect of the forearm and hand, another branch of the brachial artery.

    Right Palmar Artery

    • Divides into digital arteries to supply blood to the hand.

    Right Digital Arteries

    • Supply blood to the fingers, branching from the palmar and ulnar arteries.

    Celiac Trunk

    • Supplies blood to the stomach, spleen, liver, and parts of the pancreas and small intestine.

    Superior Mesenteric Artery

    • Supplies blood to the small intestine and part of the large intestine.

    Right Renal Artery

    • Supplies blood to the right kidney, branching from the abdominal aorta.

    Inferior Mesenteric Artery

    • Supplies blood to the distal part of the large intestine.

    Right Common Iliac Artery

    • Splits from the abdominal aorta to supply blood to the pelvis and lower limbs.

    Right External Iliac Artery

    • Supplies blood to the lower limb; continues as the femoral artery.

    Right Internal Iliac Artery

    • Supplies blood to the pelvis, including the gluteal region and reproductive organs.

    Right Femoral Artery

    • Major artery of the thigh, a continuation of the external iliac artery.

    Right Popliteal Artery

    • Supplies blood to the lower leg and foot, branching from the femoral artery behind the knee.

    Right Anterior Tibial Artery

    • Supplies blood to the anterior compartment of the leg.

    Right Posterior Tibial Artery

    • Supplies blood to the posterior compartment of the leg and plantar surface of the foot.

    Plantar Arch Artery

    • Formed by the anastomosis of the medial and lateral plantar arteries, supplies the sole of the foot.

    Digital Arteries

    • Supplies blood to the toes, branches from the plantar arch artery.
