Episode 1: Objectives of Learning the Seerah
- Studying the Prophet's Seerah provides guidance on fatherhood and dealing with children.
- Studying the Seerah helps one become a better husband.
- Studying the Seerah allows one to become a good General and a Commander.
- The Prophet said: "I am the best of the children of Adam i.e. from the children of Adam there is no one better than him."
- Ustādh 'Abdulrahmān often uses the book "al-Rawd al Unuf" written by As al-Suhayli, as the Sharh of "Seerat Ibn Hishām".
- Before the Prophet came, people were in clear misguidance (Jāhiliyatun jahlā).
- Allah sent Prophet Muhammad as an unlettered Messenger to recite His verses, purify people from disbelief and polytheism, and teach them the Qur'an (Islamic laws and jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship).
- Before, the people had been in manifest error; (62:2).
- The Prophet's mission involved Tāleem and Tazkiyā to remove people from clear-cut misguidance.
- Ibn al-Qayyim said that in Surah al-Ahzāb, Allah offered Al-Amānah (trust, moral responsibility, honesty, and all duties ordained by Allah) to the heavens, earth, and mountains, but they declined out of fear, while man bore it, being unjust and ignorant; (33:72).
- Human beings are created with Jahl (ignorance) and Zulm (oppression), which were very common before the Prophet came.
- The bare minimum needed from Taleem is certainty, and from Tazkiyā is patience.
- Allah promises leadership to those who meet the bare minimum He asks, as stated in the 'Ayah: "And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our 'Ayāt (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)." (32:24)
- To educate them the Prophet used al Wahi - the revelation given to Prophet Muhammad
- By reading them al Wahi
- On the Day of Judgment, a crying group asks Allah to return them to Dunyā for rectification, promising improvement, but Allah denies it in verse (6:28).
- The second revelation used to educate companions, the Sunnah - explained the Qur'an means of Quran in speech, actions and consent

- Allah has stated in the Qur'an that loving Allah's Messenger more than everything else is a sign of believers, supported by the 'Ayah (9:24).

- 'Umar declared his love for the Prophet above all except himself, prompting the Prophet to state that true belief requires loving him more than one's own soul. 'Umar then professed complete love, signifying complete īmān.
Prophet's role in Ummah
- As narrated in Sahīh from Abū Hurayrah, the Prophet expressed his wish to see those from his Ummah who would sacrifice their children, women, and entire wealth just to see him once.
- Just to see the commentaR they are the Prophet one time, all his family and wealth will perish. He will not be a companion and won't spend any time in with The Prophet. These people are the ones that love the Prophet the most
- The Sahābah's deep affection led them to count the white hairs in the Prophet's beard and chest.

- Even non-Muslims witnessed the Sahābah's love; Quraish's representative,'Urwah ibn Masūd al-Thaqafi, noted their unparalleled respect for the Prophet.
