Study Notes
Ground Service Panel (GSP)
- Enables connection of hydraulic ground support cart to operate hydraulic system and supply its consumers
- Allows air pressurization/depressurization of blue hydraulic system reservoir for ground handling or maintenance tasks when bleed air supply is not available
High Pressure Manifold
- Receives high pressure fluid from Engine Driven Pumps (EDP) and distributes it to Blue/Yellow Hydraulic System consumers, LP circuit, and system accumulator
- Incorporates:
- Three System Pressure Transducers transmitting pressure signal to Flight Control Computers and Control and Display System (CDS)
- One Pressure Switch sensing low system pressure and sending signal to High Lift Control Computers (HLCC)
- One Pressure Relief Valve integrated in the manifold, releasing fluid back to LP system when system pressure becomes too high
Hydraulic Consumers
Blue System Consumers
- Hydraulic blue system supplies power to:
- Flight controls
- Normal and parking brake
- Cargo ramp
- Stabilizer struts
- Cargo door
- Air deflector
- Ramp toes
- Hose Drum Unit (HDU) Fuel Pump
- Blue system Electrical Motor Pump (EMP) enables hydraulic system consumers to be operated for ground maintenance and operation
- One blue system accumulator, located in HP manifold, supplements flow from system pumps during short-term and high flow consumer demands
- Selector valve lets continuous supply via check valve from EDPs when at least one engine is running
- During ground maintenance, selector valve can be opened to grant fluid flow from EMP or ground supply to blue hydraulic system flight control consumers tests
