Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) Parameter Label Call-up
- The ACMS parameter Label Call-up function can be accessed only through the MCDU.
- Users can enter the ARINC 429 characteristics of the desired parameter to trigger the Label Call-up.
- The Label Call-up shows the decimal and binary value of the related parameter on the data field.
ACMS General Description
- ACMS reports, Smart ACMS Recorder data, DFDR data, and Digital ACMS Recorder data can be stored on a removable PCMCIA card.
- The PCMCIA interface can be used to upload software and databases to the FDIMU and download recorded data.
- The Multipurpose Disk Drive Unit (MDDU) can upload data into the FDIMU and download reports for GSE analysis.
- The Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) can send reports and parameters to a ground station via radio transmission.
ACMS D/O
- The ACMS can be reprogrammed, requiring a password for access.
- Reprogramming can be done through the GSE software tool or via limited reprogramming through the MCDU.
- The MCDU reprogramming function allows for report inhibition, report constants reprogramming, report logic and statistical counter reset.
- To inhibit automatic triggers for a selected report, select the REPORT INHIBIT key. However, this does not disable the generation of ACMS reports via the MCDU Manual Report Request function.
- To reset the trigger logic and counters for specific ACMS reports, select the REPORT RESET key.
