Humanistic Nature of Education Technology

Study Notes

The Education Technology is a humanistic subject that has the main goal of political formation of students from 4 years old to young adults.
I consider that the Education Technology should have these main goals: significant contribution to achieve the students’ political goal of becoming theoretical beings, that is, dreamers, poets, frustrated, ignorant, and subversive.
The etimology of the word "technology" itself shows that it is humanistic: "techno" comes from the word "techne", which means "the art of using tools".
The nature of technology is humanistic because it is based on human abilities, not on natural phenomena.
We humans have a genetic ability that allowed us to invent a new world that does not exist in nature, thanks to our unique intelligence.
The nature of technology is to study preexisting phenomena: for example, cows, atoms, rain, volcanoes, planets.
The nature of technology is to study new phenomena that are the product of our intelligence and our work: watches, calculators, nuclear reactors, guitars.
