Jesus' Ministry and Ascension
- Jesus began his ministry, teaching and performing miracles until he was taken up to heaven.
- He gave instructions to the apostles through the Holy Spirit before his ascension.
- After his suffering, Jesus appeared to the apostles for 40 days, speaking about the kingdom of God.
- He commanded them to wait in Jerusalem for the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is different from John's water baptism.
Apostles' Questions and Jesus' Response
- The apostles asked Jesus if he would restore the kingdom to Israel, but Jesus replied that the times and dates are set by the Father.
- Jesus promised that the apostles would receive power when the Holy Spirit comes and would be his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Jesus' Ascension
- Jesus was taken up to heaven in a cloud, and two men in white robes appeared, telling the apostles that Jesus would come back in the same way he was taken.
Choosing a Replacement for Judas
- The apostles returned to Jerusalem and gathered in a room, including the women, Mary, and Jesus' brothers.
