ACFT Overview
- The ACFT includes alternative aerobic events: 2-mile run, 5000-meter row, 1000-meter swim, or 2500-meter bike.
- Main tests include: Maximum Deadlift (MDL), Standing Power Throw, Hand Release Pushups, Sprint Drag Carry, Leg Tuck.
Intent of ACFT
- Designed to reflect Soldier combat performance capabilities linked to Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills.
- Tests focus on fatigue management, concentration, and sustaining lethality.
Test Administration
- Each test station requires one Officer in Charge (OIC) or Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) and one grader for every four Soldiers.
- A single Soldier's test requires three personnel: 1 OIC/NCOIC and 2 graders.
- OIC/NCOIC may serve as a grader if there's only one other grader present.
Responsibilities

- Overall test administration and conduct.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are procured and set up.
- Train graders and support personnel.
- Maintain adherence to doctrinal standards and report results.

Medical and Support Requirements

Lane Capacity and Test Duration
- Maximum of 16 lanes can be utilized in an ACFT site.
- A 16-lane site can test up to 64 Soldiers (4 per lane).
- The entire ACFT must be conducted within 90 minutes, including preparation.
Test Area Specifications
- Indoor surfaces must be turf.
- Test area must measure 30m x 50m, divided into 16 lanes (each 25m x 3m).
- Sites must have briefing areas, preparation areas, and soft flat areas for field events.
Running Event Conditions
- 2-mile run can occur indoors or outdoors, must be a measured course with minimal hazards.
- The route should not exceed a 3% uphill grade and start/finish at the same altitude.
Equipment Requirements
- Maximum standardized hex bar weight: 60 lbs.
