    GPS Air Data Inertial Reference SubSystem - A400M Training Manual

    • The system has three FRPA (Forward Looking Radar Probes) located on the forward fuselage, top area.

    Component Location

    • Three GADIRUs (GPS and Air Data Inertial Reference Units) are located in the nose fuselage section:
      • GADIRU 1 is between frame 10/11
      • GADIRU 2 is between frame 11/12
      • GADIRU 3 is between frame 9/10

    Probes and Antennas Location

    • Two CRPAs (CDA Radar Probes) are located on the wing-to-fuselage fairing.
    • Two CRPAUs (CRPA Units) are located in the center fuselage, near the CRPAs.
    • Three MFPs (Multi-Function Probes) are located:
      • MFP Nr. 1 & 3 are on the left side of the nose fuselage
      • MFP Nr. 2 is on the right side of the nose fuselage
    • Six ISPs (Inertial Sensors and Accelerometers) are located on the left and right sides of the nose fuselage.
