Study Notes
GPS Air Data Inertial Reference SubSystem - A400M Training Manual
- The system has three FRPA (Forward Looking Radar Probes) located on the forward fuselage, top area.
Component Location
- Three GADIRUs (GPS and Air Data Inertial Reference Units) are located in the nose fuselage section:
- GADIRU 1 is between frame 10/11
- GADIRU 2 is between frame 11/12
- GADIRU 3 is between frame 9/10
Probes and Antennas Location
- Two CRPAs (CDA Radar Probes) are located on the wing-to-fuselage fairing.
- Two CRPAUs (CRPA Units) are located in the center fuselage, near the CRPAs.
- Three MFPs (Multi-Function Probes) are located:
- MFP Nr. 1 & 3 are on the left side of the nose fuselage
- MFP Nr. 2 is on the right side of the nose fuselage
- Six ISPs (Inertial Sensors and Accelerometers) are located on the left and right sides of the nose fuselage.
- Three SSAs (Secondary Sensors and Accelerometers) are located on the nose fuselage near the Nose Landing Gear Wheel Well.
- Two OAT sensors are installed on the nose landing gear bay.
