8 Step Training Model Overview

• Model consists of eight sequential steps to enhance training effectiveness.
• Acronym: PTRI/REER (Plan, Train the Trainers, Recon the Site, Issue the Order, Rehearse, Execute, Evaluate the Training, Retrain).

Step 1: Plan

• Establish objectives, lessons, and resources based on training goals.
• Identify potential challenges and necessary materials for the training session.

Step 2: Train the Trainers

• Select and prepare instructors who will deliver training content.
• Equip trainers with required knowledge and teaching techniques to ensure effective learning.

Step 3: Recon the Site

• Conduct a reconnaissance of the training area.
• Assess the environment’s suitability for the training and identify necessary adjustments.

Step 4: Issue the Order

• Provide clear instructions and expectations to participants.
• Ensure all trainees are aware of the training schedule, objectives, and their roles.

Step 5: Rehearse

• Facilitate practice sessions to enhance participants' familiarity with the material and procedures.
• Utilize dry runs to identify areas for improvement and build confidence.

Step 6: Execute

• Implement the training as planned.
• Monitor the session closely to adapt as needed and ensure objectives are met.

Step 7: Evaluate the Training
