Coastal Plain Region

Appalachian Mountains
- Extends from eastern Canada to western Alabama, located west of the Coastal Plain.
- Includes the Piedmont region; recognized as the oldest mountain range in North America.

Interior Lowlands
- Situated west of the Appalachian Mountains and east of the Great Plains.

- Contains the Continental Divide, which is crucial for determining river flow direction.

- Comprises low regions bordered by higher lands.
- Includes Death Valley, the lowest point in North America.
Coastal Range
