Russian Missile Strike on Vocational College in Donetsk Area

On New Year's Day, six Russian missiles were fired at a vocational college in the occupied Donetsk area, two of which were shot down.
The main cause of the attack was the use of mobile phones by Russian troops in range of Ukrainian weapons.
Lt Col Bachurin, the deputy commander of the regiment, was among those killed.
A commission is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Russian officials say that those responsible will be brought to justice.
The vocational college was packed with soldiers at the time of the attack, and ammunition was also being stored close to the site.
The head of Russia's proxy authority in the Donetsk region, Denis Pushilin, praised the heroism of those caught up in the missile strike, who he said had tried to pull comrades out of the building. Some of those returning to the building had died in the process.
There was almost no mention of the story on Rossiya-24's main bulletins this morning.
The building housing Russian conscripts in Makiivka was almost flattened by the Ukrainian army in January, but the community of soldiers' relatives has sprung up to help out.
There is anger among some in the community over the way the war is being fought, with some accusing the government of neglecting the troops.
Despite the anger, the community is helping to support the troops on the front line.
