• Masterji writes dialogues for some important scenes in the Ramayana and selects suitable actors for them. Everyone rehearses together. A week before Dasara, they perform the play. The people of Kajuria do not know which scenes will be included in that year's Ramleela play.
• Local cowherd Badri will set up a tent in a corner of the field where he keeps his buffaloes.
• A stage is set up with tables brought from Joy Bhagwan's shop.
• The audience sits on blankets on the ground.
• Electric lights brighten the stage.
• From the first day of Ramleela rehearsals in the school, Kallu and his friends keep wandering around the place, hoping that Masterji will give them some work.
