Location and History

• Located in Angkor, Cambodia
• Built in the 12th century during the Khmer Empire (1113-1150)
• Originally a Hindu temple, later converted to a Buddhist temple

• Temple complex is surrounded by a 200-meter wide moat
• Consists of five towers, with the central tower reaching 65 meters high

• Rediscovered in the 19th century and restored in the 20th century
