I have over four years of experience in marketing, advertising, and public relations and studied in Cambodia, Thailand, USA, and Australia. Academically, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Media Management @ DMC and finished a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising at the University of New South Wales (Australia). I’m passionate about strategic communication and storytelling. In this class, I’m excited to share my experience and help you improve your academic writing skills for future success. Course Description This course is designed to advance the English-language writing skills of students for academic and research purposes. It emphasizes the effective composition of academic papers, with a focus on the ethical use of AI tools, quotations, paraphrasing, and proper citation to avoid plagiarism. The course additionally prepares students to navigate the challenges of academic writing in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Williams ***It would be nice for you to read before each class ASSESSMENTS Mid-term exam: is designed to test your comprehensive understanding of key concepts from weeks from 1-10, (focusing on digital research, paraphrasing, citation, and the ethical use of AI tools in the academic process ) Final Academic paper: Writing an Original Research Paper with Modern Tools Length: 2000 words , excluding references, tables, and figures Due Date: 17th Jan 2024 ATTENDANCE Class Participation Readings In a separate section (300-500 words), reflect on how AI and digital tools influenced your research and writing process.
