Environmental Philosophy the discipline in philosophy that studies the moral relationship of human beings with the environment and its non-human contents 2. Anthropocentrism is one of the major views regarding the relationship between humanity and the environment, which of them focuses on the significant role of humankind in the world and considers nature as the means by which humans are able to meet their needs and survive 3. Environmental Philosophers are the people who tackle issues such as humanity’s role in the natural world, the interaction between nature and human activities, and humanity’s response to environmental challenges 4. The truth about humankind and nature. Humankind has a unique relationship with nature. Humans can transform and change the environment. Humans are stewards of nature. 5. The truth for you and your community It is hotter now than it usually was during the summer months. Typhoons are stronger and there is more rain during the rainy season. 6. Biocentrism believe that humans are not the only significant species on the planet, and that all organisms have inherent value and should be protected. Freedom is the ability to make choices and perform actions, and is an intrinsic and essential property the human person. 23. Psychological freedom is a kind of freedom wherein it is also called as freedom of choice. 28. The following are true about moral freedom: Freedom is not an object that a person may use in whatever way he or she pleases. A person must use his or her freedom to grow as a person A person becomes freer when he or she uses freedom well, but becomes less when he or she uses it in a bad way. 29. Responsibility and voluntariness are the two element of freedom that makes us free and help us shape our experience 30. Voluntariness is to the ability to act out of one’s own free will and self-determination. 31. Responsibility refers to the person being accountable for his or her actions and their consequences. 32. The TRUTH about responsibility Taking can either mean a person voluntarily taking responsibility for his or her own actions or being held not to be responsible by other people. Whenever you know you committed a bad action, you can either voluntarily confess to it or other people will point it out and hold you responsible. Responsibility doesn’t have a positive or negative meaning and it goes hand in hand in determining the morality of an action. 33.
