Lecture 10 Pulling Movements Overview Announcements & Schedule Review from Last Week Today's Lecture: Pulling Movements Objectives and Other Readings Bones and Joints: Posterior shoulder, Anterior elbow and wrist Muscles: Trapezius, Latissimus Dorsi, Posterior Deltoid, Biceps Brachii, Brachialis, Brachioradialis, Wrist Flexor/Pronators Exercises: Biceps curl, Vbar row, Lat Pull down, Chin up Announcements Lab Worksheets Module 3 due soon Final Model Test (CORE, Squatting, Hip Hinge, Walk/Run, Pulling and Pushing) Monday Dec. 2. Schedule coming soon. Review Lecture next week with Kahoot’s (Walk/Run, Pushing and Pulling) Course Plan Last Day Pushing Movements Bones and Joints: Anterior shoulder (GH Joint, AC and SC Joints), Posterior elbow (hinge and pivot), wrist (Radiocarpal), and hand Muscles: Pectoralis Major and Minor, Anterior and Lateral Deltoid, Triceps Brachii, Wrist Extensor/Pronators Exercises: Chest Fly, Shoulder Lateral Raise, Triceps Push Downs, and Push Up Objectives 1. Identify the bones and markings of the posterior shoulder, anterior elbow and wrist. 2. Recall the origin, insertion and action of a number of key upper limb muscles (trapezius, latissimus dorsi, posterior deltoid, biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis, wrist flexor/pronators) that act on the shoulder, elbow and wrist. 3. Analyze a number of pulling dominant exercises (biceps curl, cable row, lat pull down, chin up) by identifying the muscles involved; agonist, antagonist and synergist(s) and how they contribute to the movement.
