Impetigo Def.: is contagious suppurative pyogenic infect. of the skin. 2 main clinical types: 1→ Non bollous. 2→Bollous impetigo Predisposing Factors: 1- over crowding. 2- malnutrition. 3- Poor hygiene. 4- Itchy skin dis. 5- minor abrasion. Is streptococcal infection Of the dermis, and upper S.C. tissues. - General. - Skin: bright red oedematous plaque: → well de ned → painful, tender → vesicles, bullae develop Site: any site in the body. Complications: Recurrent lymphedema e sipelas → Nephritis. Subcut. abscess. Septicaemia. It is commonly mixed with staph.infection of the s.c. tissue. C/P: - General: fever - malaise. - Tender swelling of the skin: - red -ill- de ned It is acute staph. Infection of the hair follicles,seb.glands and the dermal tissue around. Predisposing factors: 1-anaemia, malnutrition. 3- D. M. It is group a deep of staph. adjacent Infect. follicles, of a dermal tissue around, and s.c. fat. Predisposing factors: 1-D.M. 2- malnutrition It is a mild chronic Infection of the skin caused by co nebacterium. Predisposing factors: 1- obesity. 2- D.M. Tuberculosis of the Skin Lupus Vulgaris (L.V.) - e lesion enlarges slowly over years with formation of scar which may contain active nodules. Leprosy (Hansen disease) ere are atrophy of interossous muscles of the hand, wasting of thenar & hypothenar eminences. Foot drop & anaesthesia. -solita or few (1-5 in number). -d , hairless. Insensitive hypopigmented patch or plaque. leonine face
