Cleanliness What is Housekeeping??? “A place for everything and everything in its place ” Housekeeping is defined as the provision of a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for the institutions or organizations. Upkeep and Maintenance of cleanliness in the property The concept of Housekeeping seems very simple, but service hundreds of rooms and public areas, the task becomes gigantic Housekeeping??? Housekeeping refers to day-to-day cleanliness, tidiness and good order in all parts of the establishment. Good housekeeping provides a clean and pleasant working environment. It also helps prevent accidents in the workplace and aids the efficient operation. Good housekeeping can usually be achieved by routine cleaning of the premises, proper storage of materials, periodic disposal of rubbish, regular maintenance of facilities and full staff co-operation.
