Internal Assessment 1: Legal Research Methodologies Cohort October 2024 Instructions: You are a lawyer working for a law firm called QSX Lawyers, based in Delhi. You have been provided with a brief from a client as set out in the Problem Question below. You are required to prepare a legal advice to the client, setting out: 1. the applicable law for the issues set out in the Problem Question 2. any recommendations or actions required by the client 3. any further information or documentation required from the client You will be graded based on the substantive answers in your advice (40% marks); presentation and writing style as discussed in module 2 (20% marks) and format in the form of legal advice (40%). The assessment will be graded out of 20 marks. The total grade of this assessment is 20% of the overall grade for this course. The legal advice should be less than 1,750 words, including any footnotes (if applicable). Exceeding this word limit will result in a deduction of marks. Use Times New Roman Font size 12, 1.5 paragraph spacing. Use OSCOLA for any referencing, if applicable. Failure to appropriately reference or to comply with plagiarism guidelines (as discussed in module 2), will result in deduction of marks. This assessment is due on 26 October 2024 at 11:59pm IST. All assessments must be uploaded to UMS prior to the deadline in the.doc or.docx or.pdf format. Please ensure you upload a readable file on UMS. Marks will be deducted for late submissions as per the course guidelines.
