70's TO CONTEMPORARY Group 3 What is Contemporary in 70s Contemporary art, also known as"Postmodernism"is a term that describes art produced from the 1970s onwards, and the 1970s marked the beginning of the contemporary art movement. Under the helm of Ferdinand Marcos and Imelda Marcos beginning in 1965, many cultural projects ensued amid the backdrop of poverty and volatile social conditions.
