Different estimation alternatives are considered from the beginning to the end of the project. To achieve optimal cost for the project, the balance between costs and risks must be taken into account. The general rule is: DOING RATHER THAN BUYING BUYING RATHER THAN RENTING AND SHARING RESOURCES. Cost estimates should be reviewed and refined throughout the project to reflect additional details as they are known and assumptions tested. TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS 3. Project Budget 3.3 Preliminary Project. Cost estimation BUDGET ESTIMATE ORDER OF MAGNITUDE ESTIMATION [OME] The regulations applicable to the technical documentation in the preliminary design phase determine the need to include a BUDGET ESTIMATE. The level of definition of the construction at this stage makes it infeasible to carry out measurements, which would also be meaningless at this stage as it is subject to many changes linked to the final construction definition. For all these reasons, in this phase an APPROXIMATE ESTIMATE OF BUDGET is made, which gives us information about its ORDER OF MAGNITUDE. This estimate is made according to the surface of the building and its use. It is also necessary to take into account if it is a new construction (the building is built in its totality) or if it is a reform or adaptation of an existing building. To the estimated costs of constructive adaptation we will have to add the cost of machinery and equipment. 5. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS 3. Project Budget 3.3 Preliminary Project.
