Over-the-Counter Drugs \- Can be brought over the counter vary from mouthwashes to pain relievers - Due diligence is needed when one considers buying OTC Drugs like pain relievers medicine for dry cough, allergies, and laxatives because of large doses that can harm the body 2\. Cosmetic Products \- Intended for external use \- Some have little effect due to advertising campaigns and misconceptions, they are extensively used 3\. Skin Care Products \- Makeup, toner, moisturizers, lotions, deodorants, and anti-perspirants \- OTC skin rejuvinatiors have never shown efficacy in changing skin properties. Moisturizers prevent the skin from dying but for a limited period only. 4\. Hair Care Products \- Shampoo, conditioner, and hair color - Are usually safe but side effects like skin reactions, irritations, and possible infections are also possible 5. QUACK \- Is a person or company that involves in health fraud that usually appears scientific and trustworthy. QUACKERY \- Is the practice of promoting and selling fake and unproven health products and services. HEALTH FRAUD \- Is the advertising, promotion and sale of products and services that have not been scientifically proven safe and effective. MEDICAL QUACKERY - This offers a cure for life threatening illnesses including cancer and other major illnesses. \- Medical Quacks give diagnoses by eye examination and false cures like "secret" formulas and drugless medication. NUTRITIONAL QUACKERY - Quacks that sell food, in which ingredients may not contain subtances that are good for the body. \- This foods may oversupply certain unnecessary substances may lead to complications like kidney stones, anemia and goiter. DEVICE QUACKERY \- Quacks use devices that are worn like bracelets and necklaces that can diagnose illnesses. \- They also offer pyramids, and toning water to cure arthrits, rheumatism, lethargy, depression and other illnesses. BEAUTY QUACKERY - This sells products that offer a cure for skin, weight and hair loss problems \- This products are not even proven effective, thus, side effects include skin infections and hair loss. DANGERS OF QUACKERY - The danger in resorting to quackery would delay the appropriate and reliable medical treatment of illnesses, thus resulting in complications and death. \- These professionals complete a couse of study in colleges and universities. They also take and pass professional licensure examinations before they are allowed to practice their profession. It is a government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) and is attached to the DOH \- It's objective is to see to it that a sustainable nationals health an insurance program is available for all. HMO \- Health Maintenance Organization, its medical plans, and programs after a wide range of health care services through a network of health providers. HEALTH INSURANCE - Covers medical expenses for illnesses, injuries, and conditions. It provides Insurance against the risk of incurring unforeseen medical expenses. \- It's objective is to see to it that a sustainable national health insurance program is available for all.
