No. 022024 PAPERII Total Time Allowed : 1hour Total Marks : 300 Read the following instructions carefully before you begin to answer the questions. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Candidate will be supplied with Paper II Question Booklet 10 minutes before commencement of the Competitive Written Examination. 2 Paper II (Time Allotted - 60 minutes) Subject No. of Questions Maximum Marks Negative Marks 150 General Awareness 50 (three marks for every One negative mark for every correct answer) Wrong answer 150 English Language One negative mark for every 50 (three marks for every wrong answer correct answer) 3. The schedule of Written Examination is as follows, for which the Candidates will be provided Question Paper and OMR Answer Sheet : Paper II - between 12.00 Noon - 1.00 P.M. Question Paper and OMR Answer Sheet will have to be returned to Invigilator after the completion of Paper II. 4 No candidate will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before completion of Paper II. 5. Prior to attempting answer, candidates are requested to check whether all the questions are there in series and ensure there are no blank pages in the Question Booklet. In case any defect in the Question Booklet is noticed, it shall be reported to the Invigilator immediately and get it replaced with a complete Question Booklet. 6. Candidate must write their Admit Card No. in the space provided on the top right side of this page. Do not write anything else on the Question Booklet. 7 Each question comprises four responses (A), (B), (C) and (D). Candidates are to select ONLY ONE correct response and mark in the OMR Answer Sheet. The total marks will depend on the number of correct responses marked by the Candidate in the Answer Sheet. 8 In the OMR Answer Sheet there are four circles CA, (B) (C) and D) against each question. To answer the questions candidates are to mark with Blue or Black ink Ball point pen ONLY ONE circle for each question. If more than one answer for one question is circled, the answer will be treated as wrong. e.g. If for any item, B) is the correct answer, candidate have to mark as follows: 9. Candidates should not remove or tear of any sheet from this Question Booklet. Candidates are not allowed to take the Question Booklet and the original Answer Sheet out of the Examination Hall. However they can retain the copy of the Answer Sheet. 10. Do not malke any marking in the Question Booklet except in the sheet(s) at the last page of the Question Booklet, which can be used for rough work. 11. In all matters and in cases of doubt, the English version shall be final. 12. Failure to comply with any of the above instructions will render the candidate liable to such action or penalty as may be decided by the Competent Authority, CSIR-CLRI. 13.
