**Multimedia** refers to content that uses a combination of different **content forms**. **\"Rich media\"** is synonymous for interactive multimedia. **Hypermedia** can be considered one particular multimedia application. **Multimedia** --comes from the Latin words **multus** which means ―**numerous and media** A **Multimedia Application** is an application which uses a collection of multiple media sources **Digitized** -- Media elements have been captured in a code that the computer can understand Pictures are sub-divided into two types. I. A real-world picture captured by a camera is called images. II. II\. A hand-drawn picture like sketches, diagrams and portraits called graphics. **Hyper Media** is not constrained to be text-based.
