## Introduction to Financial Market ### No Charge Over Assets: The equity capital does not create any charge over the assets of the firm. ### Face Value: Equity shares can be issued of different face values, which can be of ₹1/- to even ₹100/-. Normally, the face value is ₹10/- of most of the public limited companies. ### Increases Shareholders Wealth: Equity shares increase shareholders wealth. This is due to regular dividend and issue of bonus shares. During stock market boom, the share price of reputed companies increases considerably. ### Return to shareholders: The Company rewards its shareholders in many ways like payment of Cash Dividend, Equity Dividend (Bonus), Stock Slits etc. The return to shareholders can be broadly in two forms viz Cash Dividend and capital appreciation. If the company makes profit and board declares dividend, then it has to be paid.
