The North Temperate Zone includes Europe, Northern Asia, and North and Central America. The South Temperate Zone includes Southern Australasia, southern South America, and Southern Africa. In the two temperate zones, the climate is mild, generally ranging from warm to cool. The four annual seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter, occur in these areas. The summer and winter seasons are very distinct here. The days are longer in summer while nights are longer in winter. ### Temperate Grasslands Temperate grasslands are found in the temperate zone that varies in size from country to country.
