Sky lobbies are usually found in very large buildings - more than 40 stories. They are a combination of express blind-shaft and segregated elevators, with an elevator lobby on an upper floor. In the WTC, for example, there were sky lobbies on the 44th and 78th floors. Other elevators provided local service for floors 1-43, segregated as described previously. At a sky lobby, it is necessary to get off and change elevators from the express to a local car for other floors, for example.
