  • Go to Mailings tab, click Start Mail Merge, and select Letters
  • Type body of letter
  • Mailing list must be set as the data source Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, Access, or Office
  • In Mailings tab, Start Mail Merge group, choose Select recipients, then click Type New List to create a new list, click OK and Save
  • Make any changes necessary, and then click OK
  • In the Write & Fields group, click Address Block. Select a format for the recipient's name and click OK
  • Click Mailings tab, in the Write and fields group, click Greeting Line, select format and click OK
  • Save as "Lastname-Firstname-Mail-Merge"

Activity 2: Slide Show Presentation (Instructions)

  • Create 6 slides with content “All about you” with animation effect and motion path. Save as format"Lastname-Firstname-Allaboutme"
  • On a slide select the object to animate
  • Slide Show -> Animations tab. Then select desired effect or choose more effects. Preview to play animation
  • Animate with motion path animation effect.
  • Go to Animation tab, click Add Animation, then select or create a customize path
  • To change direction edit the individual points of the motion path, or to lock, Effect Option.
  • Remove an animation effect by selecting the Animatons tab, then None

Activity 3: Tax Payers (Instructions)

  • Open Microsoft Excel
  • Select Blank Workbook
  • Rename the Sheet1 tab to to Tax Payers, and change the Tab Color
  • Save the worksheet
  • Set the margins to Top .5", Bottom to .5", Right to .75" and Left to .75"
  • Position cell pointer to cell D10 [Select D10 and type TAX PAYERS then Boldface it
  • Merge cells A10 to F10, click Cell Styles and click Heading 1 style
  • Type LAST NAME, FIRST NAME and TAX in cells A14 to C14, and centered
  • Starting cells A15-A24, B15-B24, C15-C24, respectively, type 10 Last names, 10 First names and Numbers.
  • Type text "Total Tax Collected:", "Most Tax Collected:", "Average Tax Collected:", "Least Tax Collected:", "Number of Tax Payers:", "Number of Tax Payers who paid:", and “Number Tax Payers who haven't Paid:" in cells E15, E17, E18, E20, E21, E22, E23
  • Add borders and formulas
  • Save by “Lastname-Firstname-Taxpayer"
